It's true that the production of Australian children's TV has collapsed, and commercial networks are spending less on drama, but that doesn't mean we should ignore the progress. We have some incredible dramas and comedies, like My Brilliant Career, Treasure and Dirt, and The Killings at Parrish Station, which have been well-received both locally and internationally. We're also seeing exciting new talent, like Yerin Ha and Odessa Young, and Indigenous actors are featured heavily. The Logie Awards recognized this, and while there were some questionable choices, like the decision to award Steve Bisley best actor in a comedy, it's still a celebration of our industry. So, let's embrace what we have and stop complaining. The world is watching, and we're killing it, both here and abroad. It's time to catch up and celebrate our stories.
